Ridge View board prepares for new school year

During their regular meeting 8月. 8, the Ridge View school board prepared not just for the challenges facing them in the upcoming school year, but exciting new opportunities as well.

在高中, the district has hired four new teachers for math, 科学, band and agriculture, as well as a proctor for Spanish classes. They will hold an open house 8月. 22, during which time the principal will give an informational presentation for parents, and students will learn how to access online learning resources ahead of the school year’s start 8月. 24.

State auditor Sand has Ida County town hall

抢沙, Iowa Auditor of State, knows that it’s not the usual for someone in his office to hold town halls. “Nobody did these before,” he said at the beginning of the meeting in Ida Grove City Park on Tuesday. “I just tend to think if you’re in a statewide elected office, you should go talk to all your constituents once a year.”

艾达县快递员 welcomes new staff

A new friendly face will be greeting visitors at the 艾达县快递员 and Holstein Advance office. Anne Mathis is joining the 乐博平台APP team as Administrative Office Assistant.

Mathis graduated from DMACC in 2019 with an associates degree in Graphic Design. Along with working with customers at the front desk, she will be using her degree to help with design.

An Ida Grove resident for 33 years, Doug Clough has a long history of involvement in the community. He currently lives in town with his wife Mary, their two dogs and a “grand dog.” Doug has an adult daughter and son, and Mary also has three children.

Ida County Fair livestock sale receipts up from last year

Sales receipts from the Ida County Fair livestock auction on July 25 totaled $389,295.11. That figure was up significantly from last year’s total of $286,847.43. The total number of animals sold was 392, up slightly from last year’s total of 380 head of livestock. 今年, there were 118 hogs, 116 cattle (39 pens of three), 65 individual cattle, 64只羊, 26个鸡, 两只火鸡, 一只鸭子.
